Immanuel Quickley

Immanuel Quickley, Point Guard, John Carroll (MD)

Quickley comes into the Governor’s Challenge as one of the most highly touted players in the nation. Along with being named All-Metro Player of the Year by The Baltimore Sun, Quickley was the only sophomore on last year’s DMVelite All-Maryland 1st Team, and he led John Carroll to the Baltimore Catholic League title. He averaged 17.7 points per game to go along with four rebounds and three assists, and Quickley translated that success to the international level over the summer, winning a gold medal at the U-17 FIBA World Championship. A national Top 10-ranked prospect, Quickley is considering eight college choices: Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Providence, Virginia and Washington.

Jelani Williams

Jelani Williams, Center-Guard, Tidwell Friends (DC)

Williams entered his senior year as one of the most proven, battle-tested players in the D.C. area, and he will be looking to build off a stellar junior season in which he averaged more than 16 points and seven assists per game. On a Sidwell Friends team that returned its entire starting lineup, Williams provides star power, and his size and versatility at 6-foot-5 allows him to defend multiple positions. A gifted student off the court as well, Williams is headed to the Ivy League next year after committing to Penn in September.

Nicolas Claxton

Nicolas Claxton, Forward, Legacy Charter

Claxton returns to the Governor’s Challenge as one of the hottest prospects in the country after a strong junior season saw him land on the national radar and emerge as one of the nation’s most highly recruited seniors. Coming to Wicomico County as part of a talented Legacy Charter team, Claxton is a 6-foot-9 forward whose athleticism and versatility have attracted scholarship offers from some of the major programs in college basketball, including Maryland, Arizona, Baylor, Georgia, Notre Dame, Florida State and Southern California, among others. He has committed to Georgia.

Rasir Bolton

Rasir Bolton, Point Guard, Bishop Sullivan (VA)

Another standout junior point guard, Bolton is considered a national Top 150 prospect, and he leads a strong Bishop Sullivan program into the Governor’s Challenge for the first time. With nice size at 6-foot-3, Bolton is a talented scorer and athletic defender who has shown continual improvement. He has attracted recruiting attention from the likes of VCU, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Penn State, OIe Miss and more.
